25 years German Reunification on 3rd October 2015

Open Heritage Day 2015


Germany’s biggest and most popular heritage event the Heritage Day- in Berlin called “Day of the open Monument” is taking place on the 13th September and is free of charge. It offers the chance to visit historical landmarks that are either not usually open to the public, or would normally charge an entrance fee to visitors. Historic Berlin: Bebelplatz

It’s also a short bus ride from the Citystay Hostel. The spot was supposed to be the centre of the ‘Forum Fredericianum’ with an opera house and palace surrounding it.
