Citystay Hostel Travel Tips: Fernsehturm (TV Tower)

Standing at 1,207 ft. (368 m), the Fernsehturm, also known as the TV Tower is the tallest structure in Berlin and the third tallest in Europe. The best part? It’s a five-minute walk from the Citystay Hostel!

This disco ball in the sky is one of Berlin’s most popular symbols. This disco ball in the sky is visible from nearly any area in the city. And if you find yourself lost in Mitte or even Prenzlauer Berg, the TV Tower is a great North Star for finding your way back to the city center.

You can also head up this famed landmark. The site has an observation platform (at 666 ft/203 m), as well as revolving restaurant but it’s recommended that you make a reservation and you’ll still need to buy a ticket before dining there.



Daily 9 am-midnight (November-February 10 am-midnight).

Tickets start at 12 Euros (Adults), 8.50 (children, 4 – 16 years old)
